To update Accounts Payable, close an invoicing session by running the Receiving Documents Report (RRV) with Update Option F. You must close an invoicing session before you can open a new one for the same receiving document. Use the following procedure to close an invoicing session.
Closing an Invoicing Session only updates Accounts Payable. Inventory is updated when you Complete a Receiving Document.
From the page, review the default entries in the fields and make changes if needed. For a definition of each field, click here.
From the page, select option F and any other options you want to use. For more information about the options, click here.
Click . On this page, fill in the fields in the top half of the page as necessary. Then in the bottom half of the page, in the PO Number field, select the PO number from the drop-down list in both the from and the to fields. If you use sequence numbers, enter the sequence number in both the from and to PO No Seq fields. For a definition of each field on this page, click here.
Note that you cannot specify an invoicing session number in the from/to range. This is not necessary because only one invoice session can be open at a time, and the open session is the only one that is updated when you run RRV with update option F.
Click Run to process the report.
The status of the invoicing session changes to "Invoice Closed." Session 0 is updated with the status message "Sessions Closed," indicating that it has invoice sessions, but none are open.
