(Ace Rewards users only)
Before following this procedure, you need to have the Ace Rewards Coupon SKU field set up in Function HCC. Refer to the topic "Setting up the Ace Rewards SKU" if you have not yet set up this SKU.
Use the following procedures when redeeming an Ace Rewards certificate.
Begin the Ace Rewards transaction as you normally would.
For more information about ringing up Ace Rewards transactions, see the topic "Ringing Up Ace Rewards Transactions in POS."
At any time during the transaction, type in the Ace Rewards Coupon SKU from Function HCC. If you set up the Ace Rewards Coupon SKU as "HHC," you do not have to press CREDIT MEMO after entering the SKU number. The system is programmed to ring up SKU "HHC" as a credit.
Press ENTER to post the item to the transaction, as you normally would.
Continue the transaction as normal.
Press + on the keypad to total the transaction.
If the certificate amount is greater than the amount of new purchases, the message THE COUPON VALUE EXCEEDS THE TRANSACTION SUBTOTAL displays. Click Cancel to return to the POS Posting screen and add more items to the transaction, or press ENTER to continue the transaction.
