You should know that the system handles Ace Rewards promotions and non-Ace Rewards promotions differently in some ways. The differences are:
The Promo Sales Code field in the Codes screen of the Inventory file is updated with L (loyalty) when an Ace Rewards promotion is activated.
Unlike other promotions, the Ace Rewards promotion price is not displayed in the Promotion Price field in Inventory. See the topic "Identifying Ace Rewards Promotional Items" for how to display the Ace Rewards promotion price.
Item promotional history for the last three promotions that displays in Inventory Maintenance and in POS, is not updated when the Ace Rewards promotion is deactivated. You can, however, print the Promotion Item Report (RPM) for information about the promotion before deactivating it.
The Ace Rewards promotion price displays only for Ace Rewards customers. When you display an Ace Rewards item in POS before posting it, the Ace Rewards promotion price is displayed in the Price field if you are selling to an Ace Rewards customer with an assigned Ace Rewards ID number. If you have not yet linked the Ace Rewards ID number to the customer and you display the item, the Ace Rewards promotion price will not display until you do so.
When you are selling to an Ace Rewards customer, the Ace Rewards promotion price is included when the system searches for the best price. If the item is on an Ace Rewards promotion and a non-Ace Rewards promotion at the same time, best pricing reviews both promotion prices in its search.
