LaserCat 3 users are any users on the system who have access to the LaserCat 3 application program. You create a new LaserCat 3 user simply by creating a new user for the system where LaserCat 3 is running.
When a user runs LaserCat 3 for the first time, LaserCat 3 looks for a user profile that matches the currently logged in user. If it does not find such a user profile, it automatically creates a new user profile using the default options for new users.
You aren't creating Microsoft® Windows® operating system users with the User Setup program; you're just setting up LaserCat 3 options for Windows users. Users newly created under the operating system will not appear in the User Setup utility until they have run the LaserCat 3 application for the first time. When users first run LaserCat 3, it creates user profiles based on the default options for new users.
In order to create new users for LaserCat 3, follow this basic process:
Start LaserCat 3 User Setup.
Set up the default options for new users.
Create a new user through the Microsoft® Windows® operating system utilities.
Log in to the system as the new user.
Run LaserCat 3 to create the user profile.
Close LaserCat 3.
Edit the user profile as necessary.
Repeat steps 3 through 7 as needed.
