Editing Existing User Profiles

You use the LaserCat 3 User Setup utility to manage user profiles for personnel who use LaserCat 3.  You cannot create users with User Setup.  You can only modify already existing LaserCat 3 user profiles.  Specifically, you can:

TIP: When a user runs LaserCat 3 for the first time, LaserCat 3 looks for a user profile that matches the currently logged in user.  If it does not find such a user profile, it automatically creates a new user profile using the default options for new users.  Therefore, by setting the default options for new users, you establish a basic user profile template as a starting point for all your users.  See Creating Users for more information.

Follow these steps to edit an existing user profile, or the default profile for new users:

  1. Start   User Setup.  

  2. Select which user profile to edit:

  1. Select the tab that contains the options you want to edit:

  1. Set or clear the option as you want.

This is example is a checkbox in the General tab.

  1. Make any other edits to the user profile.

  2. Click OK.

  3. Click Exit.

  4. Restart the LaserCat 3 application.
