Password

You can set a password to control who gets to access to the User Setup utility.

1. Start User Setup.

   Double-click the LaserCat 3 User Setup Icon on the desktop.

   If you do not have the icon on your desktop, contact your System Administrator.

2. Set default options for new users.

   Click Set Defaults for New Users. Click Continue.

   The Set  Options for Default screen opens.

3. Open the General tab.

4. Click the Password button.

   

The Change Password dialog box opens.

5. Clear the Disable Password box to enable password protection.

   

The password fields become active.

6. Enter a new password.

   

7. Confirm the password by typing it a second time.

   

8. Click OK.

9. Make any other edits to the user profile.

10. Click OK.

11. Click Exit.

12. Restart the LaserCat 3 application.

You must restart the LaserCat 3 application in order for the changes to take effect.  If you are setting options for another user, you must inform that user to restart the application.  Otherwise, the user will not see the changes.
