A transfer transaction includes an audit trail so you can trace who transferred merchandise, what merchandise was transferred, and to which store it was transferred.
Use any of the following to trace a transfer transaction:
Transfer Viewer. In POS, display the All Types Viewer and select Transfers in the Type field to only display transfer transactions.
Open Orders/Pick Ticket Report (ROO). When a transfer is marked complete, it is not immediately deleted from the system. The transaction remains available until you purge the document by running the Open Orders/Pick Ticket Report (ROO) with Transfer Options Y. Review the purged transactions on the ROO report to be sure all are authorized transfer transactions. Click here for more information about the ROO report.
Retain field. The field is found on the transfer transaction Header screen. Set this field to Y to prevent a transfer transaction from purging when you run the ROO report with Transfer Options Y.
Clerk field. Like other POS transactions, a transfer transaction requires an entry in the Clerk field. The clerk must have the required security to create a transfer transaction. However, the Clerk field is not updated each time the transfer document is accessed.
Accounts receivable documents. If you update accounts receivable, then there is a record of each transaction charged to the transfer account.
Deleted transaction records. If an invoice that was generated as the result of a shipped transfer (or adjustment) is deleted, the deleted transaction is found on the Daily Journal (RDJ) report, the next statement that is printed for the transfer account, and on any listing of A/R transactions for the transfer account (until the deleted transaction is purged by A/R Aging Report).
