ID# 9401 Low Cost Rule: Overstock must be at least order point times multiplierSet this option to a value from 0 to 99. This value and the order point you select on the RIB report are multiplied together and compared to the calculated overstock of the items on the report and the cost specified in option 9402. If the overstocked quantity is equal to or greater than the order point times this quantity, and the item's cost is less than the cost specified in option 9402, then the item is considered overstocked. Note: if either this option or option 9402 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored. This option is Kept By System, but can be changed to Store.
Refer to option 9402 for an example on how to set up this rule.
-
ID# 9402 Low Cost Rule: Overstock must have cost less thanSet this value from .00 to 9999.99. Enter the low cost value of items for exclusion from the RIB overstock report. If the cost of an overstocked item is less than this value, the RIB will not include the item unless the calculated overstock is greater than or equal to the value of option 9401 multiplied by the item’s order point.
Example: You wish to exclude items that cost less than $1.00 from being transferred if overstocked, unless the overstock is a large amount. You have decided to define a "large amount of overstock" for low cost items as an amount greater than or equal to 5 times the order point.
In this example, you would set this option (9402) to 1.00, and option 9401 to 5. The RIB will exclude items with a cost less than $1.00 if overstocked unless the item has an overstock greater than or equal to 5 times the order point. Thus, if an item has an order point of 3 and a cost less than $1.00, it will only be considered overstock and included in the RIB if the overstock amount is equal to 15 or more.
Note: If either this option or option 9401 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored. The cost used is determined by option 102 (Cost Used In Calculations).
-
ID# 9403 High Cost Rule: Overstock must be at least order point times multiplierSet this option to a value from 0 to 99. This value and the order point you select on the RIB report are multiplied together and compared to the calculated overstock of the items on the report and cost specified in option 9404. If the calculated overstocked quantity is equal to or greater than the order point times this quantity and the item's cost is greater than the cost specified in option 9404, then the item is considered overstocked. Note: if either this option or option 9404 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored. This option is Kept By System, but can be changed to Store. Refer to option 9404 for an example of how to set up this rule.
-
ID# 9404 High Cost Rule: Overstock must have cost greater thanSet this option to a value from .00 to 9999.99. Enter the high cost value of items for exclusion from the RIB overstock report. If the cost of an overstocked item is greater than this value, the RIB will not include the item unless the calculated overstock is greater than or equal to the value of option 9403 multiplied by the item’s order point.
Example: You wish to exclude items that cost more than $350.00 from being transferred if overstocked, unless the overstock is a large amount. You have decided to define a "large amount of overstock" for high cost items as an amount greater than or equal to 3 times the order point.
In this example, you would set this option (9404) to 350.00, and option 9403 to 3. The RIB will exclude items with a cost greater than $350.00 if overstocked, unless the item has an overstock greater than or equal to 3 times the order point. Thus, if an item has an order point of 2 and cost greater than $350.00, it will only be considered overstock and included in the RIB if the overstock amount is equal to 6 or more.
Note: If either this option or option 9403 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored. The cost used is determined by option 102 (Cost Used In Calculation).
-
ID# 9405 Slow Rank Rule: Overstock must be at least order point times multiplierSet this option to a value from 0 to 99. This value and the order point you select on the RIB report are multiplied together and compared to the calculated overstock of the items on the report and the popularity code specified in option 9406. If the calculated overstocked quantity is equal to or greater than the order point times this quantity, and the item's popularity code indicates a slower mover than the popularity code specified in option 9406, then the item is considered overstocked. Note: if either this option or option 9406 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored. This option is Kept By System, but can be changed to Store.
Refer to option 9406 for an example on how to setup this rule.
-
ID# 9406 Slow Rank Rule: Overstock must have a popularity code less thanEnter the popularity code of an item to determine exclusion from the RIB overstock report.
If the popularity code of an overstocked item is less than this value (i.e., a slow mover), the RIB will not include the item unless the calculated overstock is greater than or equal to the value of option 9405 multiplied by the item’s order point.
Example: You wish to exclude slow moving items with a popularity code of D and X (you use popularity schema of A-H as defined in option 8389) from being transferred if overstocked, unless the overstock is a large amount. You have decided to define a "large amount of overstock" for slow moving items as an amount greater than or equal to 4 times the order point.
In this example, you would set this option 9406 to C and option 9405 to 4. The RIB will exclude items with a popularity code slower than C, in this case D and X movers, if overstocked unless the item has an overstock greater than or equal to 4 times the order point. So if an item has an order point of 2 and a popularity code of D or X, it will only be considered overstock and included on the RIB if the overstock amount is equal to 8 or more.
Note: If this option is blank or option 9405 is 0 or blank then both options are ignored.
-
ID# 9407 Fast Rank Rule: Overstock must be at least order point times multiplierSet this option to a value from 0 to 99. Refer to option 9408 for an example of how to set up this rule.
-
ID# 9408 Fast Rank Rule: Overstock must have a popularity code greater thanEnter the popularity code of an item to determine exclusion from the RIB overstock report.
If the popularity code of an overstocked item is greater than this value (i.e., a fast mover), the RIB will not include the item unless the calculated overstock is greater than or equal to the value of option 9407 multiplied by the item’s order point.
Example: You wish to exclude fast moving items with a popularity code of A (you use the popularity schema of A-H as defined in option 8389) from being transferred if overstocked, unless the overstock is a large amount. You have decided to define a ‘"large amount of overstock" for fast moving items as an amount greater than or equal to 5 times the order point.
In this example, you would set this option (9408) to B and option 9407 to 5. The RIB will exclude items with a popularity code faster than B (thus, A movers) if overstocked unless the item has an overstock greater than or equal to 5 times the order point. Thus, if an item has an order point of 6 and a popularity code of A, it will only be considered overstock and included on the RIB if the overstock amount is equal to 30 or more.
Note: If this option is blank or option 9407 is 0 or blank, then both options are ignored.
