Creating Desktop Shortcuts

You can easily create desktop shortcuts for any Eagle for Windows application.  You access this new feature from the Eagle Browser by clicking Utilities and then "Create Desktop Shortcut".  Just click on the desired application and a desktop shortcut will be created.

Software Data Compression for Remote Store Locations (Multistore Users Only)

Software data compression is now available for remote store locations that run Eagle for Windows (E4W) applications. Activating software data compression on a remote PC will immediately improve the performance of the Eagle for Windows applications. Note: performance improvement will vary depending on the speed of the PC, the communication link, and the total number of devices that are used at the remote location. Software data compression should not be activated on any Eagle for Windows PCs that are running locally.

End-of-Day Queue Drill-Down

If you want to change the settings of a report in an end-of-day queue, you no longer have to delete it and re-add it.  In the End-of-Day Queue Maintenance window, you can now view and change the settings of any Eagle for Windows report (RSM, ROO, RLA, RBL, RPA, ROP, RSO, RPO, RRP, RPP, RDE, RCL, RFI, RVE, RPI, and RPH).  Simply click on the report, click the Drill button, and make the necessary changes.

Special Security Is Now Available

Special Security, which requires a user to sign on, is now available in Eagle for Windows.  If the Special Security flag in Function MTR is set to P or S, the Eagle Browser Signon displays when you start up the first Eagle for Windows application.  If the flag is set to O, the Signon doesn't automatically display, so if the user needs more access than that of the Default user in MTR, the user must go to the Browser and sign on.  Regardless of whether Special Security is set to P, S, or O, the Browser minimizes when the user signs on.  Although the user can close the Browser, it will come up again if another application is started.

Fineline Reporting for RPA, ROP, and RSO

You can now enter a fineline From/To range on the following Eagle for Windows reports:  Product Analysis Report (RPA), Order Point Report (ROP), and Suggested Order Report (RSO).
