The following explains the changes to the Epicor Eagle™ Inventory for Windows software on level 23.2870 (Eagle for Windows release 9). For additional information about a particular enhancement listed below, click on the blue underlined text. associated with it. To return to this page, click the Back button.
Two additional location code fields have been added in Inventory Maintenance.
The Physical Inventory applications Physical Inventory Posting (PIP) and Physical Inventory History (MPH) are now available in Inventory for Windows. They can be accessed from the Go To Menu in Inventory Maintenance. Several enhancements have been made to the Physical Inventory applications:
Shrinkage Records in MPH now track the historical average cost of the item, giving you a more accurate shrinkage value. Before this change, only the current average cost (in the Inventory file) was used to calculate shrinkage value. Now, if an MPH record already exists for a given SKU/shrinkage type, RPH recalculates the average cost using the current average cost in the Inventory file and the historical average cost in MPH.
The Physical Inventory Report (RPI) prints the two new location code fields on count sheets. Additionally, if you add one, two, or three location codes for an item, RPI Option I updates the inventory file with the new location codes.
The new "# of Bin Labels" field on the Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance lets you specify how many bin labels you always want to print for a particular item. This feature is particularly useful for items that you stock in multiple locations.
You can display promotion history for items that have been on promotion in the past with the Promotional History Viewer. The number of years of promotional history the system keeps is set up in Options Configuration. You access the Promotional History Viewer from the GoTo menu of Inventory Maintenance and Purchasing and Receiving, or from the Misc menu of Modify Item Promotions.
The Manufacturer field has been added to the Item Price Change (IPC) window so that you can sort price changes by manufacturer.
In addition to the inventory value "snapshot" that is available in the Department Maintenance window, the system can now also place an inventory value "snapshot" in the Fineline Maintenance window (MFI). To create the snapshot, add to your end-of-month queue the Inventory Valuation Report (RIV) with Option I and Print Sequence 5 for Fineline.
You can now enter a fineline From/To range on the following Eagle for Windows reports: Product Analysis Report (RPA), Order Point Report (ROP), and Suggested Order Report (RSO).
The following Inventory options have been added to the Options Configuration window:
Number of Years to keep Promotional History (up to ten years).
Display SKU for First Store Available if Not in Lockin— if you set this option to Yes, when you attempt to display an SKU that doesn't exist in the lockin store, the system will display the SKU for the first store in which it is found.
