Archive Manager: Managing Archived Data Overview

The archive process is completed automatically on the Eagle system based on the dates you selected when you set up Archive Manager. Once the archive purge is complete on the Eagle, it's ready to download onto your PC into the directory you specified in Archive Purge Configuration. The first time you run the purge, it may take a long time; however, once you purge data on a regular schedule, the process will take less time.

If desired, you can purge the Spooler Archive without downloading it to a PC.

Archive Purge from Eagle and Download to PC

There are four steps involved with this process. The Archive Management screen indicates which step in the process needs to be completed next.

The sequence for maintaining PAD data is as follows.

1st Step - Download PAD from Eagle to your PC

2nd Step - Copy Your Data to a Backup Device

3rd Step - Mark PAD Complete and Delete Data from Eagle

4th Step - Adjust Archive Purge Schedule for Next Year

Spooler Purge without Download to PC

You can run the Spooler Archive Purge Report (SPLP) to delete reports from the Spooler Archive. This purge completely removes them from the archive. Unlike purges that stages data for the PAD, these deleted Spooler Archive reports are NOT staged for storage in an off-server archive.
